our Sunday morning service
We meet every Sunday at 11am
We gather to praise God, our creator and to celebrate His love shown for us through His son, Jesus.
We aim for our service to have a warm and inviting feel.
We sing contemporary songs and traditional hymns accompanied by our music group.
We pray together using a variety of approaches, give thanks, praise God and we have some fun together. The majority of services will have some light hearted moments, as we believe that Jesus would want us to enjoy worshiping him!
We spend some time in quietness. This is a chance to reflect quietly, to bring our own prayers or simply to get a little moment of peace.
There is a sermon. We believe that it is important to make sense of what it says in the Bible and to be offered a clearer idea of how God wants us to lead our lives.
We hope that in our worship time different needs can be met and we can all meet with God
Bibles and song books are available and we have the main readings and hymns on the large screen.
We have an offering for those who wish to give and support the work of our church. We do not say how much you have to give; a bag is passed around and we all give what we can for the work of the church. We are funded entirely by the money we raise at our church.
We spend the first half hour with all ages together and then children and young people can go to one of our Junior Church groups.
Once a month, usually the first Sunday, we have an all age service, which includes “Parade” for our Girls’ Brigade. This service is normally a bit shorter, more active and we all stay together for the whole time.
Also once a month, usually on the third Sunday, we have communion as part of the morning service. All who are seeking to follow in the ways of Jesus Christ are welcome to share in this. Communion services normally finish at about 12.10pm. At this service we take up an additional collection specifically to support those in need in our community.
After the service we serve tea and coffee and biscuits in the Primary Hall. All are welcome to stay for this.
